Issue 139 of Pianist magazine is out now, featuring some advice from me on choosing the right edition. There’s also helpful advice from Graham Fitch on the thorny issue of pedalling, and Mark Tanner extols the virtue of practising fast (which isn’t something you hear often). Interviews with Saskia Giorgini and Rebeca Omordia, and―my personal highlight―Colin Clarke’s look at some big and less big names from the past make this another issue I’m proud to be part of!
