Pianist Issue 141 out now!

Issue 141 of Pianist magazine is out now, featuring an article by yours truly on the enormous amount of repertoire inspired by the sound of bells of all shapes and sizes, and a lesson on Saint-Saëns’s gorgeous Les cloches du soir! My colleague Mark Tanner’s masterclass discusses producing a bell-like sonority, and there are no fewer than seven tintinnabulatory works in the Scores section for you to deploy your new skills. There’s also helpful advice from Graham Fitch on preparing for a performance. Interviews with Zlata Chochieva and Margherita Torretta, and a fascinating look at the history of Edition Peters round out a fabulous read for the festive season.
